Tips For An Enjoyable Stay:
Road Conditions:  Escondido Ranch is located at the end of County Road 401, which is a 13 mile stretch of caliche/sand/dirt road.  During inclement weather conditions, it may become difficult for patrons to transit to and from Highway 44.  Please contact our staff regarding the weather conditions prior to your departure to our Ranch.

Food Preparation & Personal Comfort Items:  Our lodge and cook house are fully equipped with enough utensils and cookware to accommodate all of our guests.  In addition to our cook house, we also have several electric skillets,  microwaves and small ovens for patron use (some patrons have even cooked pies and brownies ;-) in these small ovens).

Important Items:  Please ensure you bring your Texas hunting license and hunter safety card (if born after 02 September 1971).  Patrons will also need to bring linen/blankets and all personal hygiene items required, as well as any water/beverages and food planned for consumption.  For those planning  to hog hunt, some form of light (preferably red or green) will be needed.  Some additional items that may be preferred for a better stay:  disposable plates, insect repellent, any additional corn you would like placed at your hunting location, binoculars and wet/cold weather gear.
