Naval Air Station Kingsville’s updated instructions for the Escondido Ranch 2012 – 2013 hunting season is posted. Please take time to read them carefully due to many changes made in effort to better our ranch’s operation. Please contact the Ranch Manager with any questions you may have after reading the instructions. Additionally, quail hunting opportunities will be available for active duty at Naval Auxilliary Landing Field Orange Grove. Contact NALF Orange Grove at (361) 516-6180 for additional information.

2012 – 2013 Whitetail Deer Drawing & Hunting Season Dates:
Archery Only:
- Drawing Date: 17 September 2012
- Quota: Two Bucks & Five Doe
- Hunting Dates: 29 September – 02 November 2012
Special Youth Season:
- No Drawing
- Hunting Dates: 27 – 28 October 2012 (Doe Only)*.
General Season (Rifle) – First Hunt Period:
- Drawing Date: 15 October 2012
- Hunting Dates: 03 – 23 November 2012
General Season (Rifle) – Second Hunt Period:
- Drawing Date: 19 November 2012
- Hunting Dates: 30 November – 21 December 2012
General Season (Rifle) – Third Hunt Period:
- Drawing Date: 17 December 2012
- Hunting Dates: 03 January – 27 January 2013
